WHAT WE DO
We export raw cashew nuts to several International buyers.
Product Profile
The cashew tree is a tropical evergreen tree that produces the cashew seed or nut and the cashew apple pseudofruit. The nut is attached to the lower portion of the cashew apple which is conically shaped. The cashew seed has within the outside shell the edible kernel or nut. In its raw form the cashew kernel is soft, white and meaty.
Nigeria ranked second among the top ten producers of cashew nut in the world with 675,266 metric tons. However, from 2010, there has been a steady decline and as at 2019, Nigeria ranked fourteenth in world production with 100,000 metric tons.
In Nigeria, cashew nuts are usually harvested between February to June. However, at Acme Global Merchants Ltd, our export delivery is throughout the year.
